2019 Board Members



Keith Hagene (Board President) is a Pinckneyville native who currently serves as the Superintendent of Pinckneyville Community High School. Keith and his wife, Diane, have three children and three grandchildren. He has degrees in Architectural Technology from Rend Lake College, a BS degree in Education and Industrial Technology from Southeast Missouri State University, an MS degree in Education/Administration from Eastern Illinois University, and a Specialist in Education Degree from Eastern Illinois University. Keith is active in a number of local and regional civic organizations.

Jerry Travelstead (Board Vice-President)

Irl F. Engelhardt was raised in the Pinckneyville, Illinois area, where he currently manages White Walnut Farms. He is also Chairman of Patriot Coal Corporation and is a member of The Williams Companies Board of Directors.  Irl is also Chairman of the Illinois Rural Heritage Museum and is a member of The Foundation for Pinckneyville board and serves in various charitable organizations in the St Louis area.  Irl was named a Lincoln Laureate (the State of Illinois' highest honor) in 2007 for his philanthropic work in his home town.  He previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Peabody Energy and the Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
