First Annual Masquerade Party and Auction

The Foundation for Pinckneyville helped the Chamber of Commerce kick off Pinckneyville's Mardi Gras Weekend with its FIRST ANNUAL MASQUERADE PARTY AND AUCTION on October 30th. The former McDaniel's Furniture Building was transformed to an evening Mardi Gras festival by Name Brand Creations. A jazz band, delicious hors d'oeuvres and desserts, hilarious costumes, prizes, and an auction of some 60 donated items - Cardinals vs. Cubs tickets, a week at Disney World, sapphire earrings - entertained a crowd of over 200 people. The event was a success with no auction items going unsold. Special thanks to our sponsors: Sparks Design, Dolling Construction Company, Vogler Ford, Dick and Gayl Pyatt, Murphy Wall State Bank, and Loos Excavation, Inc. Also, thanks to Luke’s Shade Tree Café for catering. All proceeds from admissions and auction will help to meet the Foundation’s 2010 operating expenses.
